Known for having a quick temper, it is safe to say that Raphael is easily the most passionate of his turtle brothers. Raph struggles with the fact that he and his family are isolated from the rest of the world, and, because of this, he questions his role as society’s secret protector and often rushes head-first into battle before considering the negative aftereffects for himself and those around him. At times, this causes friction between him and his teammates, thus marking him as the occasional weak-spot of the four-turtle unit. However, Raph’s passion, coupled with his size and explosive power, makes the sai – for its limitless short-range, crushing possibilities – his perfect weapon. He’s not the type to spend any amount of time fighting from the outside when he can easily impose his will while staring directly into his opponent’s eyes.
